Pair your card terminal
Linkly Cloud pairing is rolling out during early access, so your version of Order Deck may not have it yet.
What you need
- An iPad with Order Deck, connected to the internet
- A card terminal that works with Linkly Cloud, turned on and online
- Your Linkly Cloud username and password. If you don't have them, email support@orderdeck.app
Each iPad pairs with one terminal. Pairing replaces any other register paired to that terminal.
Pair the terminal
Open the card terminal settings
On the iPad, open Order Deck and go to Settings, then Hardware, then Card terminal.
Get a pair code from the terminal
On the terminal, press FUNC, type 8880, then press Enter. The code lasts 180 seconds, so have your login ready first.
Fill in the form
Give the terminal a name, such as Front counter. Then enter your Linkly Cloud username, your password and the pair code.
Pair
Tap Pair a terminal. Order Deck uses your password for this step only and doesn't keep it.
Check that it worked
The status should show Ready. To check again at any time, tap Check terminal.
Unpair or change terminal
On the Card terminal page, tap Unpair and confirm. Card payments go back to keying the amount into the terminal until you pair again.
If something goes wrong
Linkly refused the login or pair code
Check your username and password, then get a new pair code from the terminal. A code stops working after 180 seconds.
The status shows Unpaired
The terminal was probably paired to another register. Pair it with this iPad again using a new pair code.
The status shows Not reachable
Check that the iPad has internet, and that the terminal is on and online. Then tap Check terminal. Card payments need both online.
The Card terminal page shows Card payments are manual
Your version of Order Deck isn't set up for Linkly yet. Key the amount into the terminal, then tap Card in Order Deck.
